Jessica Collett is a visual artist, currently working in photography

Originally from Oxfordshire, UK, Collett’s photography began through interest of social norms and noticing usually inconsiderable moments.

Collett’s projects brings visibility to otherwise invisible structures that define our individual and collective social norms. Her images speak to Collett’s singular perspective, as she homes in on details that often go unnoticed. Her project Fleur de Sel documents seemingly inconsequential objects and personal items as a metaphor intertwined between notions of permanence and temporality. In an early work Bypass, Collett interrogated the physical definition of corporate success.

Collett is currently establishing Zinnia, an artist collective made up of a group of young artists all working within the realms of photography in its widest sense.
